Antioxidants are one of those healthy buzzwords that you’ve probably heard before, but may not fully understand what it means. So, what are antioxidants?

Antioxidants are compounds found in plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea, wine and chocolate. Different antioxidants can help in different ways. Generally, antioxidants can help prevent or stop cell damage.

Fruit and vegetables provide polyphenol antioxidants. Cranberries are one of the top antioxidant-rich foods, containing more total polyphenols than other commonly consumed fruits – including pears, grapes, apples and strawberries.
